Ngaben is well known all over the world, it is the Balinese tradition for the cremation of dead body. It was last 2 weeks that Christian and me went to Ubud, middle part of Bali, for the documentation of this big ceremony. This ceremony is the biggest Ngaben ceremony ever happened since now and then. The ceremony includes, the creation of the big statue, it was 28 meters tall and 11 tons of weight. The dead body will be placed on the top of the statue and brought to the cemetry and ready to be burnt. It was one of the events of "Visit Indonesia 2008". Thousands of photographers were there with the huge lenses and it was only me and Christian that wore short sighted lenses. It was very fun and tiring, in the end i got whole lot of photos and went back home quite late.
